If you have a passion for capturing moments in the 35mm format, I have a package designed to satisfy your love for its unique look and feel.
There's something truly unique about the look and feel of 35mm film that sets it apart from digital photography. While it's possible to apply filters to digital photos using software like Photoshop to mimic that aesthetic, the actual process of capturing an image on film is a world apart. When you're aware that you have a limited number of exposures available, your approach to each shot transforms. You meticulously examine every aspect of the image – is this the shot I want? Is it framed perfectly? Is the exposure precisely right? Every element of the photograph must be flawless before you press the shutter button.
Then excitement that accompanies the development of film is unparalleled. Perhaps the picture isn't absolutely perfect, but you cherish each photo because it's the only one you have; with digital photography, you can take pictures to your heart's content. This abundance can sometimes lead to valuing each individual image less because you have so many.
The package includes travel within the London area. I can travel beyond London, but there may be extra travel expenses, and for more distant locations, accommodation might be necessary.
At Paul Cable Photography, my sessions are dedicated to creating a relaxed atmosphere to bring out your best. I start with a friendly discussion about your session objectives and then we get started.
While the session typically lasts around 2 hours, my primary focus is on delivering exceptional photos that meet your goals and expectations.
After your photo session, the rolls of film will be sent for development; the developed photos typically return to the studio within 7-10 days. I can also offer express services at an additional cost if you need a faster turnaround.
You can expect to see your photo's within 7-10 days from your shoot. Once I receive the developed photos, you will be provided with a download link or an email containing watermarked, low-resolution versions. From these, you can choose your 15 favourite photos. These selected images will be printed in an 8x6 size and sent to you, along with a download link containing the digital versions.
I refrain from editing these types of photos because their charm lies in their raw, unprocessed nature.
Depending on the subject, film speed, lighting, and various factors, 35mm film can be enlarged up to 16×20 inches. It's worth noting that while you can enlarge 35mm film beyond this size, prints larger than 16×20 may exhibit noticeable grain and a reduction in image quality.
